When should I book my newborn’s session?
If you have found our blog and are pregnant please by all means give us a call ( 865.525.5828) and let us know your due date. I love to capture “the newborn curl”– that is the look babies have for the first two weeks of their life. If you are past this time, you still haven’t lost out on great image making opportunities. I also love to create maternity images and the best time to create a maternity image is around the end of your seventh month towards the beginning of your eighth month.
What do we wear?
Great question! As part of the portrait process every client has a planning session to work all these details out. For studio portraits, I suggest dark comfortable clothing. Jeans or dark pants are best- stay away from skirts or dresses as we will be sitting on the floor. For Barry’s location portraits, it really depends…. The point is not to stress about it. We can and will help you with this decision. No worries!!
What are your hours?
We are open Monday thru Friday 10-5. Weekends are by appointment. Most Saturdays Barry is photographing a wedding.
How long have been in business?
Seaton Shoots opened its doors in 1995. This is the year Barry and I got married and he came to the United States from England. We have been at our current location, 16 Emory Place, since 1997. In 2006, we expanded what was a gallery and work room to include the studio, more offices, dressing room and additional space for framing.

What is exactly is a wall portrait?
A wall portrait can be either a painting or photograph of a person or group of people that is of a size large enough to be displayed as wall decor. What’ that mean?? … well you really don’t want to have a 8×10 hanging above your fireplace?? We design and create art work to fit in certain spaces in your home– so they “fit the space”– look right and you can enjoy!
