Get Marriage Right! Knox Marriage.com

Barry and I spend last saturday morning with several engaged couples taking a premarital class led by Regina and Van Martin. Being wedding photographers we have seen all types of couples and all types of ceremonies.. and all types of brides and moms caught up with wedding preparations. As a gift to all of new couples that book their wedding photography with Seaton Shoots you will receive a certificate to attend the same class we did. GET MARRIAGE RIGHT. Visit http://www.knoxmarriage.com/ to find out more. Regina and Van just celebrated their 40th anniversary. WOW is all that I have to say. Nope they are aren’t all blissful and gooey and romantic. Van is an attorney who mostly does family law and wants to keep the rate of divorce to minimum– or at least make dent in the stats. In 4 hours they give an overview as to what things an engaged couple should have at least started to talk about and work thru before they walk down the aisle. Well …needless to say Barry and I have been together for 14 years and we are still discussing and working it out. But that is what I left with the seminar with.. the default for marriage is that it will fall apart. You have to make an effort, make it a priority in your life and spend time on it and it will work. I would like to think that if I love someone so much why do I have to “work” on that relationship?– it should just come naturally. Whoops.. sorry not real!!

If you are planning a wedding give them a call and get started on the right foot. And if you book your photography with Seaton Shoots our gift to you is a saturday morning working on your relationship.

My Gluten-Free Knoxville, The Gluten-Free Revolution Edition

While this is blog of my photography and art, it does involve other parts of my life as well.– Gluten-free being a huge part of it. On October 10th I will celebrate one year of being totally gluten-free.  What’s that mean and why does it matter? Well I have non-celiac gluten-intolerance which manifested itself in multiple ways of health problems. So since last year I have been feeling lots better. How do I do this? There are no pills or medicine to take, which is one reason doctors tend to overlook diagnosis.. (ie the drug companies have nothing to gain here!!). Just no gluten in my diet. The hard part is that gluten is hidden in lots of things… especially sauces and soups.

To eat gluten-free is a bit tricky and one of the great helps is Janet Price’s book My Gluten-Free Knoxville, The Gluten-Free Revolution Edition.

Barry met Janet Prince at a wedding this past spring and she past her book on to me. Since then she has written a new edition can be when purchased directly from the author for $10 or available at her upcoming book signings.

  • New products on the market.

  • A new section: Caterers & Homemade Food-to-Go.
  • Gluten-free recipes and food preparation tips.
  • You will also find the core of the original My Gluten-Free Knoxville, with detailed information for those of you who are newly diagnosed with celiac disease, a wheat allergy, or non-celiac gluten-intolerance. I share coping techniques and simple steps for a swift and worry free entry into the world of gluten free.

Janet will also be giving a cooking demonstration on WBIR’s Live at Five at Four on Monday, Sept. 28. The segment usually airs around 4:15. For more information on future book signing’s, or how to obtain a copy by mail, contact Janet at missjanet@me.com.
